Surge is Tupelo Middle School’s competitive winter guard and is comprised of 7th and 8th grade color guard students. Surge competes in the Southeastern Color Guard Circuit. Surge is the 2022 (“Lights”) and 2024 (“Late Night Talkin’”) SCGC Gold Medalist and 2021 (“Rewrite the Stars”) Silver Medalist in the Cadet class. Surge is under the direction of Dale Wigginton, Marquan McCoy, Devon Emig, Mandy Eaton, and Emily Hercules.
