The Tupelo Sixth Grade Band is where students take their first steps into the exciting world of instrumental music. As the foundation of the Tupelo Public School District’s renowned band program, this first-year experience introduces 6th graders to essential music fundamentals, instrument technique, and the joy of performing. Under the guidance of dedicated band directors, students learn teamwork, discipline, and perseverance while developing their musical skills in a fun and supportive environment. Through engaging rehearsals and their first concert performances, students build confidence and a love for music that will carry them through middle school, high school, and beyond.
